Yellcom Computer Services, a veteran-owned business, offers enterprise-quality IT services throughout Worcester County (MA), Northern RI, Northeastern CT and beyond. We focus on businesses with 1 to 30 employees. We provide on-site services as needed but our automated services are delivered over the internet. So, we can service a business based in Auburn, MA that has offices throughout the USA and Central America.
Jack Yellig
In 2002 while unemployed, Jack’s daughters encouraged him to start his own business. During this period, the family physician and one daughter’s employer asked him to repair their desktop workstations. They were infected with viruses and behaving poorly. Repairing them was easy. They were extremely pleased. “Maybe self-employment and an IT service company has some merits.” Through sheer luck and support, the business became operational in 2005.
The first two years were a major learning curve. IT support back then was about reacting to machine malfunctions, removing viruses, finding a lost Word file, etc. I call this reactive support. Users were incredibly stressed. I had to calm some of them down before they could explain the issue. I even had one user slam his mouse on the wall! It shattered. He went home.
So, I wanted my IT services to be preemptive and not reactive. I do enjoy hearing from first-time callers and, if given the opportunity, reducing their technology-related stress. We have IT service offerings tailored to your business size. For smaller companies, we have basic service offerings. Your technology is simple with no servers, a simple network, and one or more workstations, smart phones, tablets, and printers. Our basic services listed below are all you need. For example, a workstation with our Backup and Customer Support services is fully protected from any malware attack and for any disaster.
Our basic services listed below are a “must have” for any business of any size. These basic services keep your systems and data healthy. We do this by ensuring your software is up to date, your systems and data are malware free, and your tested backup files are stored (encrypted) on private, redundant, cloud-based, backup servers.
Some of these services overlap or share an interdependency. For example, you must have healthy systems and data to have healthy backups. Finally, the Business Community services depend on those healthy backups.

Our primary Disaster Recovery objective is to implement various recovery processes with no downtime or with a minimum downtime (minutes) and at a reasonable cost.
